In a $31tn FMCG market, with over 1 million manufacturers, 20m distributors and wholesalers and over 500m independent retailers, less than 3% of the B2B trading is currently done online. Our mission is to grow global online commerce for the world’s small businesses by removing the barriers to online trading.

Currently, due to antiquated and high-cost payment networks, over $19tn of trade payments are made offline, adding complexity and inconvenience to online trading. This has resulted in local retailers, who directly influence >80% of local consumer buying behaviour, often being the least technically equipped with data, pricing, or the latest inventory.

So we built an Open Commerce Platform that enables the sale and distribution of FMCG products to be made much simpler. Products should be in front of sellers fast, in real-time, through an immersive commerce experience, with trade buyers and sellers able to see live commerce opportunities and pricing. We have built a digital ecosystem that is specifically designed to unlock the full value of the distribution network, providing real-time visibility for order and inventory management. Our innovative platform provides brands and distributors with deep data insights into buyer trends and behaviours and helps identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.

The role:

We are looking for a People Operations Executive to be part of the team that oversees operational functions of our People team and provide support to our teammates globally.

The main responsibilities include enabling a world-class on-boarding experience aligned with our hyper-growth, creating, and implementing new company policies and maintaining internal HR systems.

You will be one of the faces of the People Operations team and will need to handle day-to-day employee queries.

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for people and culture, a keen eye for detail, experience working with metrics, as well as relevant work experience in a fast-paced startup.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Track the OKRs defined for the people team and track progress
  • Monitor internal HR systems and databases, ensure they are accurate
  • Review budgets and suggest improvements and cost-efficiency
  • Design and implement company policies
  • Benefits management
  • Compiling and updating employee records in our HRIS
  • Act as a consultant to managers and staff regarding policies and procedures
  • Owner of the On-boarding, defining innovative programs and improve existing ones to make sure our new joiners feel welcomed
  • Address employees’ queries (e.g. on on-boarding, HRIS and ATS, among others)
  • Day-to-day administrative tasks around on-boarding & employee experience

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Knowledge of local/international HR Policies, laws, and procedures
  • 3+ years of relevant People Ops experience
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g. BambooHR/Hibob) and other key tools (Confluence/MS-Teams/Slack/Jira)
  • Team player who can work cross-functionally across multiple departments.
  • Can manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Content writing skills (Presentations, guides, etc.)
  • Basic math skills (e.g. calculating holidays, FTE, etc.)
